    Phobias that are unusually specific or extraordinarily rare
    Strict Carnivore (Can be taken for flavor posting purposes, but worth 0 points)

We do allow the purchase of merits (at double cost) after Char Gen if there justification and role play to support the purchase.

Please note that we do allow some 2nd ed merits. These will be reviewed on a case by case basis and must fit with the genre we are running and will need to be supported by backstory or role play.

Pied Piper, 2-point Custom Merit
Small animals (birds, squirrels, rodents, etc) are attracted to your character's presence. It is a boon in some instances and a nuisance in others, similar to Spirit Magnet, but it confers no special understanding of the animals, nor they of you.

Natural Linguist, 2-point Merit
You have a gift for other languages, reading and speaking them with the fluency of a native. When you learn a language, reflected by increases in your Linguistics Ability, you learn it in more depth and with greater fluency than do most others. You may add three dice to any roll involving writing, reading or speaking a language you know, barring your native tongue (presumably, you use that language almost flawlessly).
House Rule: In addition, you may learn one language more per dot of the Linguistics knowledge possessed.

Just a clarification, for this, someone with Linguistics 2 knows two languages beyond their native language, while someone with Linguistics 2 and Natural Linguist knows four: two for the normal Linguistics knowledge, plus two for having two dots of Linguistics; while someone with Linguistics 4 knows twelve languages: eight for the normal Linguistics knowledge, plus four for having four dots of Linguistics.

Fianna Merit: Second Sight 4 - 6 banned due to incredibly heavy staff-involvement in its use. Second Sight 2 - 3 still allowed, as less intensive.

The Merit: Luck has been banned due to the wibbly-wobbliness of timelines in a forum game rendering the Merit's applicability difficult to keep consistent.
