Auspice Duties

Post by ST Death »

Please read the section on Auspices in our Genre Section for more in character information.

Ahrouns are the most fierce of Gaia's warriors. While all Garou are expected to be involved in combat, it is the core duty of the Ahroun to fight. If you do not enjoy roleplaying combat, this Auspice may not be for you.

Galliards are the keepers of Garou lore and history. It is the duty of the Galliard to pass on these tales to ensure that they are not lost. Galliard tales are important not only for passing on information, but they are also how Garou gain renown. Playing a Galliard requires quite a bit of writing. You will be expected to tell the tales of your pack, and occasionally, the deeds of other Garou. This is a commitment that some enjoy while others find it exhausting. Please keep this in mind if you are thinking of playing a Tale Singer.

Philodox are the judges of Garou society. They have a deep understanding of Garou law, and often heavy understanding of how each Breed, Tribe and Auspice views the Litany. If you choose to play a Half Moon, you will be expected to mediate disputes, deal with challenges, listen to scandal and hand down punishments when appropriate. If politics and law isn't your thing, you may want to consider another Auspice.

Ragabash are the trixters and questioners of the Garou. They pull pranks that are intended to teach lessons. They question the ways of the Garou , their laws and social norms. They police their fellow Garou by calling Scandal when they catch someone doing something wrong. Scandal is no fun for anyone. Often you are forced to embarrass those closest to you by howling their misdeeds for all to hear. This can be a very uncomfortable role to play, something to keep in mind if you are choosing to play a No Moon.

Theurges are the Seers and Mystics of the Garou. They deal with Spirits, heal their packmates, and often are the spiritual guides for the Nation. They require a good understanding of the Spirits, Realms, and Umbra. If you chose to play a Theurge, expect to have to solve riddles and complex questions, as well as figure out creative chiminage to the Spirits for Fetishes, Talons, and other resources.
You get what anyone gets; you get a life time.
