At this time we are allowing transfers from other games.

Adjustments to sheets and renown will be made on a case by case basis to ensure that the transfers fit with the game as it currently stands.

When transferring to Ashes from a game that uses the W20 system, the standard practice for transferring is to do a 'clean build': build a base sheet using our creation rules. We would then add transferred experience, up to 50 experience points. With the submission of a backstory and a questionnaire, there would be a gain of up to 15 additional experience on top of the transferred points.

Renown that is transferred in will be: all, if below Fostern; or up to a handful of temporary points below the requirements for Fostern of your Auspice.

Adapting backstories or elements of backstories to maintain the feel or purpose of an element is entirely feasible in discussion with the staff during the creation process, and it allows us to help your transferred character fit into the genre of Ashes, given the differences between Revised and W20 genre.
